The singer, 23, showed off her figure in a tiny orange and red two-piece on the beach in Barbados.

She is spending New Year in the Caribbean after the end of a gruelling six-month run of gigs across North and South America and Europe.

Rih relaxed with her family, including brother Rajad, as she took a break in her home country.

In what seems to be the most sudden death of the year, legendary actor, Sam Loco Efe, died in his room at Rapour Hotel, Owerri, Imo State shortly after returning from location.

Five days after a number of bombs targeted Christian churches, the ugly spectre switched to a mosque with an explosion killing four in Maiduguri after Friday prayers.

The incident happened as Muslim faithful left a mosque after Friday prayers, the military and residents said.

The blast comes after a series of Christmas attacks blamed on Islamist sect Boko Haram killed at least 42 people, most of them outside a Catholic church near the capital Abuja, and raised fears of reprisals from Christians.

"There was a loud blast near the mosque just after the Friday prayers as people were trooping out of the mosque," one resident said. "Everybody scampered to safety, leading to a stampede."

Another resident, Mohammed Bukar, reported four dead and others wounded.

"There was confusion following the blast," he said. "When the dust settled, I saw four dead people being loaded into a vehicle along with some wounded in the blast."

A 39-year-old cobbler, Daniel Olufumilayo, has accused his wife of plotting to kill him with sex in order to inherit his property.

He said his wife usually demanded as many as eight rounds of sex before the break of dawn.

The divorce-seeking father of two stated this in a divorce suit he filed against his wife at an Agege Customary Court, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

He told the court that his wife is so crazy about sex to the extent that she always demanded for seven or eight rounds of it every night.

He added that in his entire life, he has never met a woman like his wife when it comes to hunger for sex.

“My wife can never be satisfied sexually. Her plan was to kill me with her excessive demand for sex so that she can inherit my property,” he said.

The cobbler claimed that when he could not satisfy her sexually, he had to send her packing so that she can marry another man of her choice.

Bomb Blasts: Catholic Church cancels Passover Night Mass

The Catholic Bishop of Minna, the Rt. Rev. Martin Uzoukwu on Thursday directed all parishes in Kwanmba Deaconry not to hold the traditional midnight Mass to herald the new year.

The parishes include St Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger, which was bombed on Christmas Day by alleged Boko Haram members.

The bishop , however , told the church members that they should meet from 4p.m to 6p.m to pray for the coming of the new year on Saturday.

Uzoukwu gave the directives while responding to a question by a parishioner, who sought to know if the New Year Eve Mass would hold in the parish against the background of the bomb attack.

“I am directing all parishes in this Kwanmba deaconry, including Madalla, not to hold all night mass as our practice in view of the time we are in.

Generator fume kills six in Ebonyi

ABAKALIKI—SIX persons were yesterday confirmed dead, while six others are now receiving treatment at the Presbyterian Joint Hospital, Uburu, in Ohaozara local government area of Ebonyi State after in-haling fume emanating from a generating set.

The victims, who are members of  the same family, died of suffocation on Tuesday.

Reacting to the incident, Chairman of Ohaozara local government area, Mr. Ogbuefi Akpa, who expressed shock over the death of the family members, added that he had visited the hospital where he charged the management to ensure that adequate medical attention was given to the victims.

He noted that the deputy governor of  the state, Engr Dave Umahi, had equally visited the hospital to commiserate with the family of the victims and made a donation N100,000.

Explosion: 15 Persons Injured In Gombe

No fewer than 15 people were injured in an explosion that occurred at a hotel located in the outskirts of Gombe.

The Manager of the hotel, Mr. Ojiego Nelson, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gombe on Thursday that three persons came to the hotel at about 10.13 p.m. on Wednesday to explode a device.

Nelson said that he was at the gate of the hotel when the men, who were carrying guns, started “manhandling” the security man and when he asked what was happening, they started shooting sporadically.

“Our customers and everybody started running helter-skelter and the one with two gas cylinders in his hands threw them into our reception.

“He threw one into the reception and threw the other one under the cars parked by our guests in the hotel.

“The one thrown into the reception exploded and damaged the building, so we just managed to escape through the back fence,” he said.
